No One Disagrees That Diyala Was, Until Recently, One Of The Richest Governorates In Iraq In Terms Of Its Artistic, Literary, Political And Social Contributions, Benefiting From The Proximity Of Many Of Its Cities To The Capital, Baghdad, Where The People Of Diyala Used To Derive Science And Arts From The Institutes And Colleges Of Baghdad In Various Fields.
The College of Fine Arts at the University of Diyala prepares students to create, practice, study, criticize, and teach the arts, in a context that emphasizes cultural diversity, community participation, and technical innovation. Through the provision of performances and exhibitions, the college seeks to deepen understanding of the arts, expand the scope of the public’s artistic taste, and enrich the quality of life in The University, in our community, our state, our nation and the world. The College of Fine Arts will teach and create across its various units, and with the disciplines of the University, as well as local, regional and global communities through creative exploration, interdisciplinary education, public engagement and global experience…
The college’s mission lies in spreading artistic and literary sophistication and revitalizing the Iraqi person by creating a revolution in which the wills of those in charge of the creative artistic process come together with the aim of directing a society that has lived for a period of time in the darkness of backwardness, ignorance and illiteracy, which requires shaking off the dust of that legacy and moving towards a new world that restores confidence to society in Restoring its pioneering and civilizational role, especially in Diyala Governorate, whose land witnessed the highest and most honorable civilizations and produced the best scholars, writers, artists, politicians, and athletes.

1- Promoting the scientific artistic movement and scientific research to the highest level for all those wishing to be competent within the requirements of development plans.
2- Meeting the needs of Iraqi ministries and other sectors with artistic and teaching staff for various fine arts specializations, including:
A – Preparing university professors, scholars, and thinkers in the field of arts.
B – Preparing specialized artistic personnel in the field of painting, sculpture, pottery, interior design, print design, industrial design, textile design, radio and television, cinematic arts, Arabic calligraphy and decoration, musical arts, theatrical arts, represented by theatrical acting and directing.

In reference to the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and under the supervision of the Honorable President of the University of Diyala and the follow-up of the Honorable Dean of the College of Fine Arts, the Citizens’ Affairs Unit was created within the College, and the role of the Unit is to receive and follow up on all complaints (faculty, employees, students and citizens outside the College) and to submit the complaint to whomever It may concern, after the complainant reviews the unit within the college if he submits a complaint and fills out the relevant form, which will be kept confidential.
