To enhance creative skills, the Faculty of Fine Arts is hosting a training course for art education teachers.

Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Fine Arts at Diyala University, Assistant Professor Dr. Golan Hussein Alwan, the college organized a training course entitled “Art Education and its Teaching Methods” for art teachers working within the Diyala Education Directorate. This initiative aligns with the college’s commitment to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education) and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).

The two-day course, held on Tuesday and Wednesday, October 28-29, featured presentations by a select group of faculty members. Lecturers included Professor Dr. Yusra Abdulwahab Mahmoud, Assistant Professor Dr. Ammar Fadhil Hassan, and Assistant Professor Hussein Mohammed Ali Shahatha.

The course covered a range of theoretical and practical topics, focusing on modern e-learning strategies in art education, methods for developing curricula to keep pace with technological advancements in education, and successful case studies of integrating the arts into contemporary education.

For her part, the Dean of the College, in her opening remarks, emphasized the importance of this type of program in enhancing the skills of art teachers and enriching their academic and creative experiences. She noted that the College of Fine Arts always strives to be a center of knowledge that supports education in the governorate.

At the conclusion of the course, the participants expressed their gratitude to the College administration for providing a stimulating learning environment that contributes to improving educational performance and expanding the horizons of artistic creativity in schools.
