The College of Fine Arts at the University of Diyala prepares students to create, practice, study, criticize and teach the arts, in a context that emphasizes cultural diversity, community participation and technical innovation through presentations and exhibitions, the college seeks to deepen the understanding of arts, broaden the range of artistic appreciation among the public, and enrich the quality of life in The university, in our society, our country, our nation and the world, and the College of Fine Arts will teach and create creativity across its various units, and with majors at the university, in addition to local, regional and global communities through creative exploration, interdisciplinary education, public participation and global experience.
The message
The mission of the college is to spread artistic and literary advancement and revitalize the Iraqi human being by creating a revolution in which the wills of those in charge of the creative artistic process meet in order to guide the society that lived for a long period of time in the darkness of backwardness, ignorance and illiteracy, which requires clearing the dust of that legacy and launching towards a new world that restores confidence in society in Restore its pioneering and civilizational role, especially in Diyala province, whose land witnessed the highest and most honorable civilizations and spawned the best scholars, writers, artists, politicians and athletes.
In order to move the scientific wheel in this college according to what is available to it, we have decided that the beginning of the cinematographic and television and artistic education and plastic arts departments, hoping to increase the opportunities for creating new departments for it .. such as the departments of theater, design, calligraphy, decoration and musical arts to complete the building of this edifice according to a systematic vision that provides opportunities Growth and prosperity in the broadest and most comprehensive of its freedoms … and for the outputs of this edifice to be the tools of this institution in disseminating the artistic culture that is academically framed in order to make it effective and influential and hold on to its true pioneering role in stimulating determination and determination and developing artistic taste to build our dear province.
General objectives of the Faculty of Fine Arts
The College of Fine Arts aims to:
1- Promote the scientific artistic movement and scientific research to the highest level for all those who wish to be qualified within the requirements of development plans.
2- Meet the needs of Iraqi ministries and other sectors with artistic and teaching staff for the various specialties of fine arts, including:
A – Preparing university professors, scholars and thinkers in the field of arts.
B – Preparing artistic angels specialized in the field of painting, sculpture, pottery, interior design, print design, industrial design, textile design, radio and television, cinematic arts, calligraphy and decoration, musical arts, performing arts, represented by theatrical acting, stage direction, and theatrical techniques.
3- Preparing specialists in the field of arts in general so that the study period, conditions and content are consistent with the needs of society.
4- Contributing to creating a general environment for artistic culture in harmony with social and moral values and in a manner that preserves the original values within the framework of a cohesive society.
5- Emphasis on the impact of art as a revolutionary tool in building society and developing scientific trends in the manner of critical artistic thinking and employing it in addressing community issues and problems.
6- Providing technical, literary, scientific and material reasons that guarantee the activity of faculty members and researchers in art and art education to achieve aspects of creativity and innovation.
7 – Ensuring the means of guidance for students and the best selection of their scientific, technical and professional activities and specializations, and providing them with the necessary expertise and elements of preparation and training.
8- To accustom the student to looking at scientific methods in dealing with dilemmas, solving problems, and confronting life situations and challenges.
