Under the slogan of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), the symbol of our unity, the College of Arts holds a symposium entitled The Popular Heritage in the Husseini Theater

Under the patronage of the President of the University of Diyala, Professor Dr. Tahseen Hussein Mubarak, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Fine Arts, Professor Dr. Alaa Shaker Mahmoud, the College of Fine Arts organized today, Sunday, 7/14/2024, a symposium entitled The Popular Heritage in the Husseini Theater, in the presence of ladies and gentlemen, college teachers and employees.
The symposium began with the reading of Surat Al-Fatihah for the souls of the martyrs of Iraq and the martyrs of Diyala Governorate who were martyred while performing their sacred duty on Saturday, 7/13/2024, while defending the homeland against groups of terrorism and extremism.
The symposium, in which the assistant lecturer, Muhammad Khalis Ibrahim, lectured, included the popular heritage acquired by the people through the historical legacy of the Husseini cause in the various regions, and the customs that individuals were brought up with through the impact that the Husseini cause had on the souls of the people. In belief in the Husseini cause, the popular heritage must be included within the context. The Husseini line represented by Husseini theater and the approach adopted by government institutions and the holy shrines by launching a prominent title and an important theatrical term, which is Husseini theater, which specializes in Husseini thought and the Husseini issue. The symposium came by introducing different elements that contain innovation and moving away from the historical narration of the incident itself by introducing popular heritage into the context. Husseini theater and adding experiences passed down to generations within Husseini theatre.
For his part, the Dean of the College suggested holding innovative artistic activities within this approach
The symposium also aimed to:
– Introducing current generations to the popular inherited heritage of the Husseini cause
– Explicitly including the popular heritage within the title of Husseini theatre
