The Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Fine Arts holds a scientific workshop entitled “The Role of Women in Promoting Green Education and Sustainable Development”
Within the college’s activities and under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Fine Arts, Professor Dr. Alaa Shaker Mahmoud, the Women’s Affairs Unit held a scientific workshop entitled (The Role of Women in Promoting Green Education and Sustainable Development) The lecture was given by Assistant Professor Dr. Waad Abdul Amir Khalaf, a lecturer in the Department of Cinema and Television Arts, on Monday 10/7/2024. The lecture covered several topics, including the importance of women’s role in promoting the concepts of green education, which aims to achieve environmentally friendly and sustainable educational practices. The workshop addressed several axes, the most important of which are: 1. How women can contribute to adopting and spreading the concepts of green education, as it is one of UNESCO’s sustainable development goals. 2. The role of women in sustainable development, which seeks to achieve a balance between economic, social, and environmental development to ensure the sustainability of resources for future generations. In conclusion, the lecturer provided examples of initiatives in which women can participate to promote these goals, whether at the local or global level.
