The Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs exercises the following powers to facilitate the work of student affairs in the college

1. Organizing the final examination schedules in coordination with the scientific departments

2. Organizing the weekly schedule of lessons, in coordination with the scientific departments and in the light of the classrooms, to ensure the smooth running of teaching in graduate studies

3. Supervising the record of weekly lectures prepared for this purpose to ensure that all hours prescribed for each subject are covered and according to the instructions in force in this regard.

4. Follow up on the permanence of postgraduate students and their discipline according to the regulations and instructions in force.

5. Checking applications for admission to postgraduate studies after receiving them from the scientific departments, unifying them and submitting them to the university presidency

6. Checking cases of transferring postgraduate studies from other universities to graduate studies in the college and referring them to the relevant scientific departments for consideration and addressing the relevant authorities.

7. Follow up of postgraduate students in terms of time periods and devote them to study in accordance with the regulations and instructions

8. Participating in the meetings of the graduate studies committees in the college when invited by it to discuss matters of postgraduate studies according to the specialization of the departments in a way that guarantees good performance.

9. Preparing the discussion statement for a graduate student one week before the date of the discussion, and preparing the minutes of the discussion committees, checking them and submitting them to the college council.

10. Supervising the preparation of annual statistics for graduate studies in the college.

11. Handing over the examination books and receiving them according to the applicable rules.

12. Announcing the exam results after being approved by the graduate studies committees in the scientific departments and according to the specialization.

13. Providing academic departments with degrees according to a form prepared for this purpose for approval by graduate studies committees.

14. Coordination with the scientific departments on the delivery of examination questions and for the first and second rounds, according to what is applied in the preliminary studies.

15. Addressing the official departments regarding everything related to the career of a graduate student, starting from his registration until his graduation.

16. Address the university presidency / graduate studies department in everything related to the biography of a graduate student.

17. Addressing the official departments to obtain their fundamentalist approval regarding the lecturers, after their names and departments have been determined by the relevant scientific department.

18. Signing the annual bonus and promotion forms for postgraduate employees, and in his capacity as his superior.

19. Address the official departments and all institutions except for the ministries with all matters related to these powers.

20. Supervising the work progress in the Registration Division, distributing work among its employees, and monitoring their work hours.

21. Signing the promotion and annual bonus forms for the registration employees and as the direct manager.

22. Approval of granting the employees of the Registration Division the regular leave that they deserve inside the country, taking into account the provisions of the laws and regulations in force.

23. Signing the correspondence of Iraqi, Arab and foreign students with the department concerned with student registration affairs at the university, colleges of the university and other official destinations.

24. Organizing lists of acceptance of new students according to the alphabet, registering and distributing them to the people, and in coordination and cooperation with the internal departments.

25. Organizing and auditing documents, as well as grades, study units and assessments, and following up on preparatory study requirements for all academic levels.

26. Recording students’ semester grades and preparing records for grades and keeping them after they are submitted by the Examinations Committee.

27. Signing books that include referring students to health centers and hospitals.

28. Supervising students ’absences, entering them in the records, organizing semester schedules of students’ names and the number of absences of each of them, publishing them on the notice board, and warning students who exceed the legal limit for absences in cooperation and coordination with the scientific departments in the college.

29. Organizing a comprehensive summary of students who fail, leave and dismissed.

30. Signing the student IDs.

31. Supervising students’ cultural, social and sports affairs, in coordination with the Federal Committee.

32. Preparing everything related to the quarterly and final exams.

33. Implementing the student uniform instructions and taking disciplinary penalties against violators.

34. Preparation whenever related to the quarterly and final exams.

35. Supervising the implementation of the examination instructions approved by the higher authorities in the ministry and the university.

36. Supervising the printing of reproduction and photocopying that students need in relation to their studies, after the approval of the concerned department head.

37. Distributing or granting some of these powers to the employees of the people associated with it.

38. To sign everything related to the exercise of these powers.

39. Approval of disbursement in cases related to scientific and student affairs or postgraduate studies up to a limit of (20,000) twenty thousand dinars in each case, provided that the necessary financial support is provided in the annual budget in the college.

40. Approval of the payment of wages, allowances and rewards for undergraduate and postgraduate studies students, including Iraqis, Arabs and foreigners, as determined by the laws, regulations and instructions in force.

41. Approval of purchasing books, magazines and periodicals for the college library, up to twenty copies of each.

42. Granting financial and in-kind rewards to employees of the administrative and scientific divisions of its administration up to (10,000) ten thousand dinars for each case, provided that the financial allocation is available. The faculty and the disbursement of the sums accrued by it and in accordance with the instructions for implementing the budget in force

43. Issuing administrative orders for dismissing students due to absence and cheating.
