The Faculty of Fine Arts holds an awareness course for its members on civil defense, firefighting, and rescue procedures.

Under the sponsorship, supervision, and awareness-raising efforts of the Dean of the College of Fine Arts at the University of Diyala, Professor Dr. Alaa Shaker Mahmoud, the college organized a field training course for its members entitled “Introducing Civil Defense Principles, Firefighting and Rescue Procedures, and Safe Exit Methods.” The course was part of the effort to promote a culture of occupational safety and risk prevention.
Major Fadhel Hatem Rashid from the Civil Defense Directorate in Diyala Governorate lectured at the course, providing a detailed explanation of the types of fires and how to deal with them, as well as rapid evacuation mechanisms during emergencies and the use of hand-held fire extinguishers.
During his presentation, the Dean emphasized the importance of enhancing the readiness of members and the need to expand these awareness programs.
This course is part of a series of activities aimed at spreading a culture of prevention and safety in the university work environment and enhancing joint cooperation with relevant institutions, such as the Civil Defense Directorate.
The course received positive feedback from participants, who praised the valuable information provided.
The college continues its efforts to organize training and awareness-raising events that contribute to enhancing professional awareness and consolidating public safety concepts.
