Under the theme: The Effectiveness of the Applied Art Message in Society

Professor Dr. Alaa Shaker Mahmoud, Dean of the College of Fine Arts at the University of Diyala, participated in the First Scientific Conference on Applied Arts, organized by the College of Applied Arts at the Middle Technical University from May 29 to June 1, 2025, under the theme “The Effectiveness of the Applied Art Message in Society.”

Professor Dr. Alaa Shaker Mahmoud’s participation affirmed the importance of academic cooperation between Iraqi universities and contributed to strengthening scientific dialogue on applied arts and their role in serving society. During the conference sessions, he presented a scientific paper, highlighting ways to employ applied art to address social challenges and utilize modern technologies to develop the visual and design message.
