He pointed out that the University of Diyala seeks to translate these goals into a tangible reality, particularly through the vital role played by the College of Fine Arts.
Dr. Alaa explained that the college’s participation in the festival included an art exhibition that addressed heritage professions and industries threatened with extinction, in an effort to highlight the importance of their sustainability or development to meet the demands of the modern age and the labor market, in line with the spirit of the Sustainable Development Goals.
The college also presented a cinematic and artistic presentation, including a film that addressed contemporary societal issues, along with a theatrical performance titled “A Walk in the Battlefield,” which embodied the values of resistance and steadfastness in the face of challenges. This reflects the college’s commitment to conveying purposeful artistic messages that serve development and society.
