Under the supervision of the Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Prof. Dr. Alaa Shaker Mahmoud, and within the activities of the annual celebration of the Global Entrepreneurship Week, the Technology Incubator and Ecosystem Unit at the Faculty of Fine Arts held scientific seminars entitled “Establishing and Managing Small Projects for Graduates of the Faculty of Fine Arts” with a presentation of project experiences. The seminar targeted professors and students of the Faculty of Fine Arts.
The seminars, in which Prof. Dr. Muhammad Samir Muhammad, Prof. Adel Atallah Khalifa, and Prof. Mu’ayyad Abbas Karim lectured, included several axes, the most important of which were:
Establishing and managing small projects for graduates of the Faculty of Arts can be an effective way to transform talents and artistic skills into a sustainable source of income. These projects benefit from creativity and artistic specialization to provide innovative products or services
Examples and successful experiences of small art projects:
A. Handmade jewelry design project
One of the arts graduates established a small workshop to design handmade jewelry using simple materials such as copper and natural stones.
He started selling products online (Instagram) and local art galleries.
B. Mural Project
A mural artist collaborated with a contractor and shops to decorate walls with distinctive artistic drawings.
The project succeeded due to the combination of art and commercial needs.
C. Art Education Workshop for Children
Another graduate established a workshop to teach drawing and sculpture to children.
He benefited from organizing workshops in schools and cultural centers, which contributed to expanding his business.
D. Online Store for Art Products
One of the graduates established an online store that displays personalized paintings and drawings on demand.
