The College of Fine Arts holds an art exhibition for freehand drawing on the occasion of International Human Rights Day
The representative of the Dean of the College of Fine Arts, Assistant Professor Hussein Muhammad Ali Hussein Shahada, Assistant Dean for Administrative and Financial Affairs, opened today, Wednesday, 11-12-2024, the free art exhibition on the occasion of International Human Rights Day. In the presence of ladies and gentlemen, faculty members and staff of the college and a group of students from the College of Fine Arts.
The College of Fine Arts, Department of Fine Arts, in cooperation with the Human Rights Unit, organized an art exhibition and posters on human rights that included several different topics related to children’s rights, women’s rights and their right to education.
The representative of the Dean of the College of Fine Arts said during the opening ceremony of the exhibition that it is necessary to confront all forms of violations of human rights, especially the rights to life, education, housing, health and work, and the cooperation of all educational institutions to reject ideas that contradict the principles of human rights.
The symposium witnessed the participation of a number of female and male students of the college, and their works, through direct and free drawing techniques, dealt with scenes of issues related to human rights and their defense, embodied by creative fingers in artistic paintings of different sizes. The organizers confirmed that this symposium is a noble message from the College of Arts to the whole world, a message that embodies the solidarity and support of Iraqis through an elite group of student artists by drawing paintings in support of human rights on the occasion of the International Day of Celebration. For their part, the attendees expressed their admiration for the free art exhibition and the displayed artistic works, which constituted a new artistic addition to the beautiful artistic scene. The participants demonstrated in their artistic works their craftsmanship skills in mastering the making of the painting and the aesthetics of style and artistic vision.
