The College of Fine Arts holds a workshop entitled “Addiction, its Effects and Ways to Treat It”

The Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit at the College of Fine Arts at the University of Diyala held a workshop entitled Addiction, its effects – ways to treat it. The workshop, which was managed and discussed by the lecturer Shaima Muqdad Hamid, emphasized the most important aspects of its axes:
The first axis: This axis deals with the harms of drugs on the individual in particular in terms of the effect of drugs on his psychological and mental health and on the unbalanced behavior of the individual due to taking drugs in addition to committing acts of violence without awareness
The second axis: This axis deals with the harms of drugs on society in general, as the addicted individual is part of society and the spread of addiction affects society because it causes the spread of crimes, violence and murder
Workshop objectives: The workshop aims to:
Address the phenomenon of the spread of addiction in society, especially among students and youth because they are the future generation
Holding seminars, workshops and guidance sessions intensively and continuously to educate students about this widespread phenomenon
Not taking medical treatments without medical advice
Recommendations: We recommend in this workshop to review the specialized medical centers when feeling violence with the family and friends, feeling isolation, withdrawal and aggression And the desire to obtain funds to identify these causes and treat them as soon as possible
