Under the direct guidance of the Dean of the College of Fine Arts at the University of Diyala, Professor Dr. Alaa Shaker Mahmoud, the Central Committee for Serving Visitors of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) at the college continued its tireless efforts over the past few days, up until today, Friday, August 8, 2025, to provide logistical support for the Husseini processions.

These efforts included the distribution of food and drinking water to the processions spread along the road extending from the center of Diyala Governorate to the borders of Baghdad Governorate. This is part of the college’s contribution to serving visitors and commemorating the blessed Husseini rituals.

The Dean of the College emphasized that this initiative falls within the humanitarian and religious duty that the college is keen to fulfill annually, based on the values of solidarity and consolation embodied in commemorating the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him).

He explained that the work is being carried out in a team spirit, with a number of college staff participating in the campaign, in addition to administrative and technical support to facilitate transportation and distribution operations.

The Dean of the College commended the efforts of the Central Committee members and volunteers who worked long hours, day and night, to secure the needs of the processions. He praised the spirit of giving and dedication exhibited by everyone.

The College of Fine Arts continues to implement its service program until the end of the pilgrims’ procession, ensuring the timely delivery of supplies and water, contributing to the cause of Hussein and promoting the values of altruism and cooperation within the community.
