The College of Fine Arts celebrates Iraqi National Week by holding a symposium that embodies the spirit of creativity and belonging.

Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Fine Arts, Assistant Professor Dr. Golan Hussein Alwan, and as part of the Iraqi National Week activities, the College of Fine Arts at the University of Diyala held a free drawing symposium in the college gardens, with the participation of students from the Department of Fine Arts.
This event embodied the spirit of national belonging. Through their artwork, the students expressed their love for their homeland, its beauty, and its glorious history through paintings brimming with color and creativity.
The works presented varied between oil, watercolor, acrylic, and colored pencils, as well as the use of pencils and charcoal, adding visual diversity and expressive beauty to the open exhibition.
These works were supervised by a select group of professors from the Department of Fine Arts, who monitored the students’ performance and guided them to showcase their artistic skills in a style that reflects the authenticity of Iraqi art and its national spirit.
The symposium concluded in a festive atmosphere, with participants expressing their pride in contributing to this national occasion, which emphasizes the role of art in promoting the values of identity and belonging.
