Under the supervision of the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Alaa Shaker Mahmoud, the students of the Department of Cinema and Television Arts for morning and evening studies held a photographic exhibition today, Monday, February 17, 2025, documenting their work in the subject of cinematic and television makeup. The exhibition was opened by the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Yasra Abdel Wahab Mahmoud, and the Head of the Department of Cinema and Television Arts, Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Abdel Sattar Hussein, in addition to the representative of the Academics Syndicate, Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Zaid Manhal, and a number of college professors and a large gathering of students.
The lecturer, Assistant Professor Rabab Karim Keitan, the subject teacher, indicated that this exhibition included more than 60 photographs in which the students’ work in the field of cinematic and television makeup was displayed, including works related to changing characters, film makeup, as well as the use of artificial intelligence in makeup techniques.
The displayed works received great praise from the attendees, who praised the students’ brilliance and mastery of the works that touched on artistic craftsmanship. The opening also emphasized the importance of investing the energies of young students in the labor market, especially in the field of cinema and television makeup, which is one of the vital and advanced fields in the film and television industry. The attendees also praised the teaching efforts of Professor Rabab Karim Keitan, who contributed to preparing and guiding students to produce distinguished works. This exhibition comes as part of the ongoing efforts of the Department of Cinema and Television Arts to support students and enhance their creative skills, in a way that serves the media and visual arts industry in the future.
