The College of Arts holds a scientific symposium entitled “The Actor’s Work According to Stanislavsky’s Theory”

Under the patronage of the Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Professor Dr. Alaa Shaker Mahmoud, the Faculty of Fine Arts, Continuing Education Division, held a scientific symposium today, Sunday, 10/20/2024, entitled The Work of the Actor According to Stanislavsky’s Theory, within the College of Fine Arts, College Theater Hall. The symposium, in which Assistant Professor Dr. Waad Abdul Amir Khalaf, one of our college’s instructors, lectured, included several goals and axes, with the attendance of female and male students of the College of Fine Arts from all practical departments. One of the most important axes and goals of the scientific symposium was to focus on enhancing a deep understanding of the actor’s performance method through the “system” established by Stanislavsky. The following are the most important topics and objectives:

3. Character and text analysis
4. Impersonation and interaction with assumed circumstances

1. Enhancing honesty and realism in performance
2. Developing analysis and personalization skills
3. Developing the ability to empathize emotionally
4. Interacting with assumed circumstances

6. Developing physical and psychological skills
The seminar aims to broaden the horizons of actors and enhance their skills in all aspects of performance through applications of Stanislavski’s method.
