The exhibition included works in different artistic styles and techniques that expressed the students’ interest in plastic movements and their trends through their paintings between realism and modernity.
Assistant Professor Dr. Jolan Hussein Alwan, supervisor of the students’ works, said. The exhibition of the students of the Department of Fine Arts reflects a growing interest in presenting an artistic experience that combines realism and modernity. This gathering represents a challenge in the ability to link traditional and supportive methods of fine detail with abstract and contemporary artistic expression. The main challenges include the need to provide a suitable environment that enhances the display of artworks in a manner consistent with the main theme of the exhibition, as well as selecting works that combine realistic detail with modern innovation. In their art exhibitions, the students move towards more innovation and renewal, as the goal is not limited to highlighting artistic aesthetics only, but the work also revolves around exploring the relationship between traditional values and contemporary experiences.
