Honoring our college lecturer Dr. Jalil Wadi

In a celebratory event for pioneers in media, arts and literature organized by the University of Mesopotamia in Diyala Governorate on Thursday (23/1/2025), the (Khuta) Foundation for the Care of Pioneers in Media, Arts and Literature honored the lecturer in our college, Professor Dr. Jalil Wadi, as a media pioneer whose influence and achievements transcended the borders of the governorate to extend to the regions of Iraq and the Arab world through his journalistic writings that continued for forty years as a journalist, columnist and academic professor, in addition to his academic publications in the media field, which numbered nine books that gained the attention of readers and the holdings of Arab libraries such as the National Library in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the National Library in the State of Qatar and the University of Algeria Library. The celebration featured a documentary film documenting the scientific, media and life history of Dr. Jalil Wadi, in addition to presenting the institution’s shield and a certificate of appreciation. The ceremony, which also witnessed the honoring of other pioneers from the province, was attended by members of the House of Representatives, Mr. Ahmed Al-Moussawi and Mr. Muhammad Qutaiba, and Professor Dr. Rasha Khalil, President of the University of Mesopotamia, and a large gathering of media figures, writers, intellectuals of the province, and academic professors at the Universities of Diyala and Mesopotamia.
