During his participation in the opening of the fifth annual book fair held by the Central Library…the Dean of the College stresses its importance in acquiring knowledge and developing the reader’s self.
Prof. Dr. Alaa Shaker Mahmoud, Dean of the College of Fine Arts at the University of Diyala, participated today, Sunday, 10-11-2024, in the opening of the fifth annual book fair, which was opened under the patronage of the President of the University of Diyala, Prof. Dr. Tahseen Hussein Mubarak. Which is held by the Central Library under the slogan (Today a Reader and Tomorrow a Leader)
The Dean said during the opening of the exhibition: We are happy to open the book fair in the bosom of our university, which is keen to provide an environment that contributes to the development of reading skills among its children from teachers, researchers and students, stressing the importance of reading in acquiring knowledge, developing the reader’s self and expanding his horizons, calling on everyone to make reading a daily behavior to obtain creative aspects, appreciating the efforts of the Central Library administration and its members in their tireless efforts to spread the culture of reading.
The opening ceremony of the exhibition, which was attended by a number of members of the University Council and a group of academics, educated researchers and students, included activities for female students in which they embodied the love of the homeland and its historical heritage.
