The College of Fine Arts at the University of Diyala organized a field visit for third-year students of the Department of Art Education, morning study, to the Central Library at the Presidency of the University of Diyala. The students were accompanied during the visit by Assistant Professor Dr. Ansam Ayad Ali and Assistant Professor Baida Anwar Razouqi.
Assistant Professor Dr. Ansam Ayad said on the sidelines of the visit that the field visit to the Central Library is a pivotal part of the requirements of the course “Principles and Methods of Research” at the College of Fine Arts at the University of Diyala, as this visit provides practical experiences that enhance the scientific research capabilities of students. Through this experience, students are able to acquire vital skills including searching for sources and references, dealing with electronic databases, and learning about scientific documentation methods, which are among the basic pillars of conducting effective academic research.
In the context of this visit, students are introduced to the administrative and functional system of the library, and the great diversity of sources including books, scientific journals, research papers, and available electronic references is highlighted. This visit was organized to be an interactive experience that combines the theoretical and practical aspects, where the information and knowledge acquired in the classroom are transferred to a practical field that contributes to consolidating research concepts among students.
