Assistant Professor Dr. Golan Hussein Alwan, Head of the Department of Fine Arts, participated in the discussion committee of the master’s thesis at the University of Basra / College of Fine Arts entitled (Proposed sculptural models for Iraqi national occasion medals – an applied study) for the student Ghassan Salah Ali Mubarak on Thursday 10/17/2024, which discusses the proposed sculptural models for Iraqi national occasion medals.

The thesis presented by the researcher aimed at the importance of medals that give value to the individual and society, which are Iraqi national occasions.

The thesis included the topic of the medal, which is a visual identity that embodies a specific idea related to society. It is a message with a meaning related to a specific goal.
