The College of Arts holds a scientific course entitled The Impact of Folk Tales on Arabic Literature

Under the patronage of the Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Prof. Dr. Alaa Shaker Mahmoud. The Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Scientific Affairs, held a scientific course entitled (The Impact of Folk Tales on Arabic Literature) within the Faculty of Fine Arts, Interactive Classroom Hall.
The course, which was lectured by Assistant Lecturer Bakr Imad Shukr, and attended by professors, students and specialists, included the following topics:
The first axis: Introducing the storyteller, who is considered an entertainment method in our societies in the past when the community in the village and district was isolated from the outside world, and the storyteller presents his stories either for a fee or for free. In the eyes of his listeners, he is a wise man or a guide with his famous introduction (Once upon a time) and then he tells what he has.
The second axis: Distinguishing between the nature of the folk tale and myths, and the ability of these tales to introduce us to the culture of others, and the necessity of working to collect and document oral folk tales, as they represent part of the human heritage.
Course objectives:
– Knowing the most important characteristics of the folk tale.
– Discovering the classifications of folk tales.
– Monitoring the most important social and cultural implications of folk tales
