Under the guidance of the Dean of the College of Fine Arts, Professor Dr. Alaa Shaker Mahmoud, to form a volunteer team to participate in Hussein processions and provide all kinds of services, including food and drink, and prepare the college’s wheels for mourners on the anniversary of the martyrdom of Abu Al-Ahrar, Imam Hussein and his companions, peace be upon them.
Today, Monday, 7/15/2024, the volunteer team visited the Husseini processions in Baqubah, the city of Al-Huwaider, to commemorate the Husseini condolence gatherings in the first ten days of the holy month of Muharram. The volunteer team was received by Mr. Muayyad Al-Sayyid Najeeb Al-Hashemi, head of the condolence procession of the people of Al-Huwaider, which was held in the city. I welcome this kind initiative by the Dean of the College, and extend my thanks to the Dean of the College for this initiative and to the volunteer team participating in the funeral processions in their city.
It is worth noting that this team will continue to participate and provide service to all those mourning this painful tragedy for the Islamic nation from the first days of Muharram until the end of the fortieth visit of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, and to provide service to his visitors.
