Within the fifth cultural week of Diyala University and under the slogan of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), the symbol of our unity, the College of Arts holds a symposium entitled Promoting Hussein educational values in school theater performances.
Under the patronage of the President of the University of Diyala, Professor Dr. Tahseen Hussein Mubarak, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Fine Arts, Professor Dr. Alaa Shaker Mahmoud, the College of Fine Arts at the University of Diyala organized today, Monday, 7/15/2024, a symposium entitled Promoting Husseini educational values in school theater performances.
The symposium, in which Assistant Professor Hussein Muhammad Ali Hussein Shehadha, Head of the Art Education Department, lectured in the interactive classroom and in the presence of ladies and gentlemen, college employees, was summarized as follows:
The highest values of the concept of brotherhood are an extension of the Arab values that place this concept in the highest ranks, which is what was embodied by the relationship of support, solidarity and solidarity embodied by the kindest incident when Imam Abbas, peace be upon him, stood in the face of the temptations of the enemies of his brother Hussein, peace be upon him, and his refusal to survive in exchange for abandonment and withdrawal from the battle before it began and the challenge of swords. And the arrows that tore his honorable body for the sake of the thirsty women and children of the House of Prophethood. This is what called on those in charge of the educational process to spread these ideas that call for altruism and self-sacrifice in educational curricula, especially through school theater, as it is the closest and most attractive means for pupils and students in conveying the great lessons of the concept of Husseini brotherhood and altruism through theatrical drama.
