The College of Arts holds a workshop entitled Amendments and mechanisms for obtaining accreditation for our college departments.
Under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Fine Arts, Professor Dr. Alaa Shaker Mahmoud, the Quality Assurance and University Performance Division in our college held a workshop entitled Amendments and mechanisms for obtaining accreditation for our college departments, in the presence of the Assistant Dean for Scientific and Student Affairs, Professor Dr. Yousry Abdel Wahab Mahmoud, today, Tuesday, 7/9/2024. And in the interactive classroom. Professor Dr. Sami Ali Al-Amarah, Vice President of the National Council for Accreditation of Colleges of Fine and Applied Arts, lectured.
The workshop aims to introduce institutional accreditation standards and the methodology for obtaining institutional accreditation to achieve sustainable development goals, raise indicators, and provide practical ways and mechanisms to obtain accreditation for Iraqi higher education institutions, in a way that is consistent with the real aspirations that the college seeks to establish and secure a quality assurance system to achieve high levels of quality. The workshop also included several points, the most important of which are:
Explain the meaning of dependability
Adopting quality in the curriculum
Explanation and clarification of the details of the accreditation evaluation form
Explaining how to build the accreditation form, starting with the vision, mission, goals, and curriculum content
Explaining and clarifying the most important paragraphs in the self-evaluation of accreditation programs
At the end of the workshop, the Dean of the College appreciates the efforts made by Professor Dr. Sami Ali Al-Amara for taking the trouble of traveling and coming to our college to deliver valuable scientific information that serves the institutions of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to reach the highest levels of evaluation.
